If you would like to have a semi-customized template, IDD will happily create one for you. The TEMPLATE-DEV shell canbe used as a place in Canvas where you can develop your course, and once complete, you can import your course intoyour official teaching shell. If you want a TEMPLATE-DEV shell for any of your classes, please email IDD at[email protected] Include your course ID, title, term, and number of weeks in the course
ADDITIONAL GUIDES RELATED TO THE ONLINE COURSE TEMPLATEWorking with UNC’s Online Classroom Template Video GuideOne key to working with the classroom template, in this first iteration, is understanding that the date-activated quick links and module lists show everything in each module when its quick link is active, and thatthis part of the home page cannot be edited on the home page. Changes made to the titles of Modules andany additions or deletions of content in an existing module, will automatically update on the home pagebecause the quick links and module lists reflect the content in the Modules. Major changes to Modules such asadditions, deletions, or reorganization of modules, will not be automatically updated on the home page. If youmake major changes to Modules in the Classroom Template and your home page doesn’t look right, IDD willhappily re-sync your home page so that it reflects your final course module set up, and so that the quick linksopen according to specific dates, if you would like to use that function
