Pace operates a fixed route bus system which is entirely accessible to people with disabilities, and our sister agencies--CTA and Metra--offer accessible transit service as well. For senior citizens and people with disabilities, fixed route is a less expensive way to get around your community and gives you the freedom to travel without arranging a ride in advance.

I really don't mind taking the bus in the burbs. You have to do a bit of schedule planning if you want to connect to other Pace routes, and sometimes the buses can run way off from the printed schedule.

The drivers are pretty friendly (sometimes overly so) and the buses (for the most part) are clean enough. I took away three stars because: 1. YOU CANNOT BUY A TICKET AT THE BUS TERMINAL THE DAY YOU REQUEST IT!!!
