A plain booklet page numbering template document that's configured to be printed double-sided, so that the page numbers are always on the outside margin of the page (right side for odd pages, left side for even pages). This book numbering template includes a cover page with no page numbers.
Page numbers are often included in the beginning text of a chapter or section for reference purposes. This is particularly common in academic works where chapters or sections are often titled with letters or words characters which aren't available on most page numbering systems.
Similarly, titles cannot be numbered in the table of contents because they are given when the book is published. But notes in the text refer readers to titles with an Arabic number followed by a period. These notes are often based on one of three such titles mentioned in the text.
