BEFOR YOUBUT THE WHEELS BRACES ON FIT THE WHEELS to them ANY SIZE wheels WILL DO AS LONG AS THAY ARE THE SAME !! Right now that you have done all of that i will say this now "" I DO NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOU AND YOUR TRAILER IF YOU HURT YOUR SELF WHILST BUILDING THIS TRAILER OR USEING IT IT IS NOTMY PROBLEM YOU ARE RESPONSABLE FOR YOURSELF AND YOUR TRAILER IF IT SNAPS IN HALF IN THE RUSH HOUR TRAFIC ITS NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY YOU USE AND MAKE THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK THANKS FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING!"" moveing on now will be the best time to paint your trailer if you want too but you will nowneed to start makeing the draw bar a.k.a the meatle bit on the front of the trailer the meatle that i used was 1 inch wide roof bar "it is used to hold tin roofs down and roof timbers down" but any old thing will do even wood but metal is the strong its best off screwed on to the timber frame or bolts woud be good it you have that many. bolt it to geatherin the middle where it joins The hich. now i used a rally chain gard off my grandads bike but any old flat meatal will do. you need to get a eye bolt and bolt it on to your chain gard/flat bit of meatl then but it on the thing that holds you bike wheels on "I'm Not responsable if your is not strong enough to hold the weight of your trailer" like on the picsbelow to hich the trailer up you will need a chain link like on 1 of the pics below its so easy to do finishing off put reflecters on it !! and a light you will also need to put a base of some sort on it like I used mesh put wood would do screw in eyes to hold things on and a tool box for break downs and last but not least some crods to hold your cargo down !if you bild one i would love to see some pics please levave me a comment and i'll give you my e-mail NO SPAM PLEASE !!!! Simple bike trailer.Made from a baby pushchair, bike tube and broom stick.Only 3 main parts needed and min tools needed to build itSpeed does not matter for the trailer as it has good build in shocks and tires arenot super hard.It follows the bike rather well also so its easy to pull. Feels very lightSome things are needed at first. a. Try find an old baby push chair. b. Broom stick or some sort of light strong wood pole c. Old bike tube Time taken to build up was about 40min. Easy to make. Cost : 0 depending on what parts u can find. Chop up the baby chair asneeded. Cut off parts u dont like but keep the structure strong. Modify as needed. I cut off the top and some other bars. This will all depend on what u find. Then get a good length for the broom stick. Check lenght before u cut it. Make notches in the wood to make it not slide away from the chair's body. I looked where i would tie it to the buggie andthen there i made slots so that it hooks to the buggy before i started to tie it on. Then cut up old tire tube into strips. Tie as best u can. U can use any knot u like as this stuff is very strong and if u pull it tight while u do it it will NOT move. Keep a long section to slide over end. Slide over about 30cm and then use the rest to tie to the seat. If u carryheavy things make sure all the weight is over the axle this will minimize the stress on the connecting arm. Easy! Let me know if u guys build one A few final touches. I ordered some mags off ebay, because they are bad ass and remind me of my BMX days, and the axle seemed thicker than the one on the spoked rims. There is a milk carton attachedwith some zip ties in some of the pics. I took a piece that I removed from the beginning and put it on the front of the frame to act as a kickstand. Not sure what it was originally. Overall, it works very nicely. Not sure what the weight limit is, but feels pretty sturdy while remaining lightweight. Pulls very well, and I try to keep the weight towards theback since the wheels are not quite centered, but this works great as weight is shifted back with forward momentum. Oh yeah, led strip on bottom, gotta have LED's ;) Hope this helps or inspires some folks interested in building a trailer. Salvage things that look useful whenever you can, even if you dont have a purpose for it at the moment, it may bethe exact thing you need at some point in the future. *I love the simple aesthetics of my bicycle, but have found it extremely difficult at times to keep upright when standing alone while attached to trailer.
