Improvement Plan Goal (UIP) Goal Highly Effective School Instruction and Learning Environment: Collaboration and Instruction Library Program Goal Performance Indicators The school librarian plans and collaborates with classroom teachers from many disciplines and grade levels and is involved in the assessment of collaboratively planned lessons
GOAL 1 Strategies/Indicators • Increase the number of collaborative units between classroom teachers and the librarian by 25% as required by the building principal
• Share new resources and technology tools available to teachers and provide examples of how they fit into content, standards, curriculum and assessment via book talks, book trailers, PLC's and monthly newsletters

Collaborate with teachers and specialists during weekly planning meetings to strengthen and extend student learning and the library program. Target two grades per year. b. Use the results from the library survey as a means of strengthening communication between the professional, student and parent community.
Librarians will collaborate with teachers to design lessons that may be referenced among schools and grades using a common text. b. Librarians will devote two professional development sessions to common planning and review of use. c. Schools that received “Picturing America” prints in 2007 will incorporate that collection into the lessons.
Goal 1. Encourage students to develop an appreciation for reading and lifelong learning Objective 1. Increase circulation to reluctant male readers in the intermediate grades. a.
